Pain and Suffering Are Not the Same
Life hurts.
Loss is inevitable.
Disappointment is part of being human.
Change rarely asks for permission.
We cannot avoid these experiences.
But there is an important difference between pain and suffering.
Pain is part of life.
Suffering often grows from the way we relate to that pain.
When we insist life should have unfolded differently.
When we fight against what has already happened.
When we try to control what cannot be controlled.
Acceptance does not mean approval.
It does not mean giving up.
It means acknowledging reality so that we can choose how we want to respond to it.
Perhaps the question is not,
“How can I stop feeling pain?”
Perhaps it is,
“How can I stop fighting what already is?”
A few questions to reflect on:
- What is painful in your life today?
- What part of that pain may be growing because of the way you are relating to it?
- Is there something you are still trying to control when what you really need is to accept it?
Seria uma honra te conhecer.
